Bodog launches Poker Open series
17th February, 2008
One of the world's most recognisable online poker operators, Bodog, has unveiled a brand new open tournament series.
The inaugural Bodog Poker Open is comprised of a series of five Texas Hold'Em tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $110 (£55) to $325 - followed by a $500 buy-in main event.
Whoever wins the final table will be awarded an as yet undetermined cash prize in addition to an engraved Omega Speed Master watch worth over £2,000 - not to mention being crowned the first-ever Bodog Poker Open Champion.
The five preliminary tournaments will be held March 3rd - 7th and will cover a wide range of formats including limit, pot-limit and no-limit six-handed. Each winner will receive a cash prize and a seat at the main event, to be held March 9th.
Because this is a new event Bodog has even committed to boosting the total prize pool by a massive $75,000 - guaranteeing that demand will be high for the inaugural event.
Entry to the series can be secured with cash or Bodog Tournament Credits - or by winning one of a number of affordable satellite tournaments.
